![]() CHURCH SAINT-GILDAS OF PENESTIN
the Saint-Gildas church (1880).
This church replaces an old medieval vault become tréviale and rested by the monks of Saint-Gildas of Wood.
The old church is demolished in 1879 and is replaced in 1880 by a modern building, of Gothic style.
On the left of the entry of the cemetery (street of Bellevue) are the tomb stones of two priests of Pénestin, undoubtedly coming from the old church.
One of them is that of the vice-chancellor Joseph Bigarré (deceased on January 26, 1830)
